Summer Glow

On this day, my wife and I had the pleasure of traveling to the Lake Oconee area for a house warming party. The host was Mrs. Jeanne Starr Gater, a very nice lady that is from Michigan and has been in Georgia for only a few years. The mood was great, and she had guests from California, Texas, Chicago, Detroit, Arizona, as well as Atlanta. My wife had the pleasure of doing the pictures as i took care of the musical presentations. Everyone got a chance to watch an Aretha Franklin video that featured Mrs. Gater. Hey Jeanne, we hope that you and all of your guests had a wonderful time and we must meet up again. Thanks and stay blessed, Keith and Flecia.

The Cotton Brothers Reunion

Today, we were asked to capture the reunion of The Original Cotton Brothers. They began singing in the mid-1950’s. The Cotton Brothers consist of John, Tommy, A.C., Willie and John Lee Hixon. They were also the first black gospel group to book a program at the Macon Coliseum which featured the Rev. James Cleveland, Shirley Ceasar, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and others. Here are a few images that were captured at the Greater Overcoming Church of God, located at 1708 Third Street Macon, Georgia.

Here is Tommy’s Son Tromney (TC) Cotton sharing the stage with the Cotton Brothers for the very first time.
